General operation.
This application manages the video stream capture tool to record your screens, cameras, audio mouse and keyboards.
You can create a number of different configuration (see Using the wizard to create a new configuration) that can then be launched. To select a configuration, pick it from the drop-down box. Press 'Start' to begin.
You will see thumbnail images for each of the captured screens. Double click a thumbnail to see a live preview. Additional messages from the video streamer console can be found at the bottom of the screen.

Create a new configuration.
To create a new saved configuration, select the 'Create new config…' button. The tool will detect all available channels. You can then adjust the settings and save the configuration.
Selecting channels. You can select or de-select the channels you want record. Toggle selection by clicking the checkbox next to the channels name. Channels that are not selected will be greyed out with an 'x' over their preview thumbnail.
Selecting sub-regions. If you only want to record a sub-region of the video rather than then entire screen, double click on the channel thumbnail. This will open a larger image preview. Click and drag a box around the region you want record. Or, click once quicly to reset to capture the entire area. Press 'Save' to save the region you have selected, or 'Cancel' to ignore the changes you have made.
Setting maximum frame rate. You can throttle the maximum frame rate if your underlying video doesn't change that fast. This will reduce recording size and CPU load. By default, the rate is set to unlimited. You can drag the slider to limit the maximum rate.
Downsample the image. You can downsample the recorded resolution. This will result in smaller video files. By default, images are recorded at their native resolution. Drag the slider to downsample the image by the desired amount.
Select compression. You can choose the compression algorithm.
Record audio. You can toggle whether audio is recorded unsing the 'Record audio' check box. If recorded, audio will be saved from the default audio device on your computer. You can view and change the default audio device by going to your computer control panel.
Saving the result. To save your configuration, enter a name in the name field at the top and press 'Save'. The name you have chosen will now appear in your list of configurations.

Configuration management.
Deleting a configuration. To delete a configuration, select the configuration you want to delete, then press the 'Delete this configuration' button from below. Warning: deletions are permanent and cannot be undone. Use with care.

There will be one XML configuration file per configuration that you have made. Generally, you should not edit these files by hand. Rather, you should use the wizard to build new configurations.

Automatically start configuration when app begins.
You can choose have a configuration start automatically when the application starts. If you commonly use the same configuration every time, this can simply the startup process.
To enable the autostart capability, go to the application XML file. To the entry root|autostart_config, add the name of the configuration you want to start. The name should be an exact match to one of the drop down entries. To disable the autostart, just set the field to be empty.
Tip: If you hold down the shift key while starting the application, the autostart will be suppressed even if it is set in the XML. This lets you temporarily disable the autostart without needing to edit the XML file.
